Festival season is officially here! These are the top music festivals taking place this summer in the Grand Duchy!

FĂŞte de la Musique: 16th – 18th June

Having been held in Luxembourg City since 2000, the FĂŞte de la Musique is the opportunity for amateur and professional musicians to hold free concerts in the city’s public spaces. The event draws thousands of spectators of all ages, giving insight into a wide range of musical genres. You’ll hear everything from classical to jazz, rock, hip-hop and so much more as you wander through the streets of the capital!

Where

For the 2023 festival, the City of Luxembourg will be hosting performances at four different locations, called “music spots”:

  • Place d’Armes (Ville Haute)
  • Place Thorn (Merl)
  • Puits-Rouge (Ville Haute)
  • Grand-Rue, at the intersection with Rue Aldringen (Ville Haute)

Other concerts will be hosted by various establishments with the City’s support: CafĂ© Rocas, CafĂ© Rock Solid, Mesa Verde, Gudde WĂ«llen, Vantage Bar, Uewerbayern, Mirador.

Concerts will also be staged on 17 and 18 June 2023:

  • 17 June: Concert by the Jazz Orchestra University College London in Place d’Armes
  • 18 June: “Museksdag” of the Union Grand-Duc Adolphe (UGDA) in Place d’Armes
  • 17 and 18 June: Several concerts in Place du Parc in Bonnevoie to mark the 125thanniversary of the “Bouneweger Musek”

Siren’s Call: 24th June

Set in the idyllic & picturesque valley of Luxembourg City, Siren’s Call is the ultimate celebration of international & home grown culture and music!

Kinnekswiss Loves: 30th June – 1st July

The iconic Kinnekswiss park in Luxembourg City Centre hosts a series of open-air concerts running from 30th June till 1st July! This summer event sees the “Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg” and international musicians such as ElÄ«na GaranÄŤa and Bryn Terfel take the stage in a beautiful setting!

  • Friday, 30 June 2023: show begins at 21:00.
  • Saturday, 1 July 2023: show begins at 21:00.
  • Sunday, 2 July 2023: 11:00–17:00 – Evening show begins at 19:30.

Luxexpo Open Air: 3rd July/ 4th July/ 7th July/ 10th & 11th July

Some of music’s biggest names are coming to Luxembourg this summer as part of the Luxexpo Open Air concerts! With some tickets still available, you’ll be able to see Lizzo, The Arctic Monkeys, Paul Kalkbrenner and Robbie Williams for 2 nights! This is a summer in Luxembourg City that you won’t want to miss!

Blues’n’Jazz Rallye: 15th July

As one of Luxembourg City’s most popular open-air event in the summer, the urban blues and jazz festival is definitely not one to miss! Every year, this internationally renowned festival brings in thousands of music lovers to celebrate and enjoy the finest blues and jazz in the picturesque settings of Pfaffenthal, Clausen and the Grund.

At this year’s event, an additional stage has been added, bringing the total number to eight:

  • Place Auguste Engel (Grund)
  • NeimĂ«nster (Grund)
  • Melusina (Clausen)
  • Rives de Clausen (Clausen)
  • Parc Mansfeld (Clausen)
  • Parc Odendahl (Pfaffenthal)
  • ThĂ©iwesbuer (Pfaffenthal)
  • Sang a Klang (Pfaffenthal)

In addition, eight establishments located between these various stages will also be holding jazz and blues concerts: Café des Artistes, Scott’s Pub, Liquid, Oscar’s, The Pyg, Grizzly, Big Beer Company and Ikki.

LOA Luxembourg: 8th & 9th September
