Germany

Just 50 minutes away by train from Luxembourg, you can discover the wonderful city of Trier! Whether you are looking for places to shop or want to sightsee, you won’t be disappointed. As Germany’s oldest city, Trier has an abundance of sites that demand your attention – from the Roman ruins, including the Porta Nigra, or Cathedrals, you will be stepping in the footsteps of history. Discover more of Germany’s ancient history in Cochem. This picturesque location takes you away from the hustle and bustle and into the Moselle Valley. Famous for the Reichsburg Castle which keeps watch from the hill above the city, this fairy tale village is the definition of perfect! You will also find Cochem’s Oly Town which is famous in Germany. If you want a great view of the city, ride up the Cochermer Sesselbahn and grab a meal while you look out across Germany! If you want to step off the tourist path, the Moselsteig Trail is a great hiking trail that is very enjoyable during the warmer months and leads all the way from Trier. 

If you enjoy more of an urban setting, take a day trip to Cologne, which offers more than plenty of attractions for you and your family. Much like other German cities, you will find yourself walking through the Old Town and into local shops or restaurants. Yet, what makes the city so spectacular is the Cologne Cathedral which attracts many visitors year-round. Find yourself a coffee shop and enjoy the view of this grand architecture! 

France

You can hop on a 50-minute train and find yourself wandering the streets of Metz! Take a stroll through the famous Pompidou Centre and continue until you find the Saint-Etienne Cathedral. This city is a perfect destination for a day off with friends; You will find an abundance of shops and restaurants to choose from. If you are visiting during the warmer months, make sure to check out the Place Saint-Louis, where fairs and markets are held regularly! 

Who can say no to a quick trip to Paris? As the capital of fashion and the center for art, you will never be bored of visiting Paris. The attractions of the city cease to end! Find yourself drawn to the classic tourist attractions of the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, or Louvre. If you want to stray away from the crowds, wander around the city and stumble upon its many market centers or sustainable fashion stores! Find yourself something new to add to your closet, or better yet, make memories that will last a lifetime! 

Belgium

In the heart of the Ardennes, discover the town of Libramont in Belgium. Only an hour by train, you will discover the home of the Celtic Museum, which brings tradition to you! On the border of Belgium and the Netherlands, you will discover the town of Maastricht. In the summer, rent a bike or walk around the city as it is in full bloom!
