We have created another itinerary for you all to follow! This day can be adapted for all ages. We were sure to include an outdoor activity, some shopping, a cultural activity and good eats for the day!
Stop 1- Babbocafè
Starting at Esch Gare, take an 8 minuite walk to Babbocafè to start your morning! This coffee shop is a great, locally owned, fair trade cafe with lots of different options to offer. The owner, Saro, was just recently featured in our “Faces of Luxembourg” series on Instagram!
Where: 26 Rue des Remparts, 4303 Esch-sur-Alzette
Stop 2- Librairie Diderich
Just across the street from the cafe is this huge bookstore with an English section! The store has way more than books to offer, with gifts, puzzles and an extensive pen/stationary collection. They also have a cafe, with drinks and food, in case you want to try something different! We highly recommend their brunch!
Where: 2 Rue Victor Hugo, 4140 Esch-sur-Alzette
Stop 3- Vinyl Harvest
Right down the street, less 3 minutes away, you will hit Vinyl Harvest. This store has so much to pour through and even has some clothes and other accessories on offer.
Where: 34 Rue Victor Hugo, 4140 Esch-sur-Alzette
Stop 4- Murals
It’s about a 40 minute walk to your next destination, but don’t fret along the way there are lots of murals and shops to stop in! You can also take a bus from Esch to Belval!
Stop 5- The Fonds Belval
A very unique experience for your day is to explore the blast furnaces and steel production area of Belval. There are both guided and individual tours. Be sure to check the website before going in case a reservation is required for your group!
Where: 6, avenue des Hauts-Fourneaux, L-4361 Esch-sur-Alzette
Stop 6- Beet
From here you will be surrounded by restaurants so the choice is yours. Our recommendation is Beet, a delicious vegan restaurant! This will end you right by the Belval University stop to head home to another destination!
Where: 5 Avenue des Hauts-Fourneaux, 4362 Esch-sur-Alzette
