European Month of Photography

by Brynn Pierce

Abbey De Neimënster is hosting the 8th edition of the European Month of Photography. This year’s edition will feature 20 photographers and focus on the theme of rethinking nature and landscape. There will be 3 exhibitions surrounding humans’ relationship with the environment. Here’s what you need to know!

The winners of the Regards sans frontières / Blicke ohne Grenzen scholarship and Lisa Kohl, a young Luxembourg photographer, will showcase their landscape series. The French Institute of Luxembourg will also offer work from Marine Lanier, a French artist from the National School of Photography in Arles.

This is the 10th Anniversary of the Regards sans frontières / Blicke ohne Grenzen scholarship where 5 artists, Anne-Sophie Costenoble (BE), Patrick Galbats (LU), Florian Glaubitz (DE), Thilo Seidel (DE) and Emilie Vialet (FR), ask the question of landscape: “how do we live? How do you transform it? How do we rethink the landscape?”

The exhibit runs through June 6th and will be open everyday from 10am to 6pm with free admission! For more information click here.
