Autumn is truly a wonderful time of year in Luxembourg, full of fantastic events celebrating the days getting shorter and overall harvest time. Throw on a scarf, pull on your wellies and join in the fun!

Apple Festival (Les vergers de Steinsel)

Apples can be picked from this orchard in Steinsel from mid-August until early November (Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays 2pm – 6pm), but the Apple Festival itself is normally over the last weekend of September and the first two weekends in October. The festival is a lot of fun and of course there are great food stands with sausages and delicious apple products and freshly made apple juice and cider. There is no picking this year, but be sure to enjoy the fresh apples, pears, honey and more for sale!

When: Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2pm-6pm (until the end of October)
Where: Steinsel

Finally, on the late Saturday evening of October 16, the entire foyer vibrates with the sound of the Cape Verde Islands during an exhilarating party.
