When Luxembourg hosts the best chefs in the world

The Villeroy & Boch Culinary World Cup is on at Luxexpo The Box starting this weekend until 28 November.

Locals and lovers of the culinary arts have been anxiously awaiting the new edition of this extraordinary competition. Those who don’t know about EXPOGAST, should discover this true highlight.

Every four years Luxembourg hosts the Villeroy & Boch Culinary World Cup during the trade show EXPOGAST at Luxexpo. Highly talented chefs from around 75 nations come to the Grand Duchy with their teams to convince an international Jury with their creations. For five days they will be cutting, cooking and composing delicious food art around latest trends and present it on fine porcelain by Luxembourg’s own Villeroy & Boch. For anyone who is interested in fine dining and cosmopolitan cuisine it’s truly fascinating to gain close insights into this world.

The 52 jurors are all professional chefs who have all been licensed by the ‘World Association of Chefs Societies’ for their experience and training. Interestingly, the Pros will vote completely paperless this year thanks to a new system that has been developed in Luxembourg and is used in competitions all over the world. In general, sustainability plays an important role in the organization of the competition. The Community Catering competition will also focus on sustainability and measures to combat food waste.

Besides the Culinary World Cup happening at The Box, local food and beverage producers as well as all companies will present their products and services during EXPOGAST. An event for the entire family, you can easily spend an entire day at Luxexpo with family & friends to eat and enjoy.
