Kid’s workshop where kids find a way to store summer in a glass!

Kids Run – Yuppi-Mini-Kulturlaf  (Booking required)

Yuppi Mini-run for kids (500m or 1km) as well as sports workshops. You do not have to be registered with a sports club to participate. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the race so that you can warm up. In your first participation you will receive a passport. For each run you get a stamp on your passport. Cactus donates € 1 to Fondatioun Kriibkskrank Kanner for each stamp in your passport.

Discover Luxembourg

The Discover Luxembourg concept was initiated in 2008 as an annual one-day event. Teams of 4 will have the chance to walk either the 5-6km route (appropriate for families with buggies) or the 8-10km route around the city of Luxembourg and its suburbs. Along the course participants will be able to discover different aspects of Luxembourg as well as undertake various challenges where they can earn points to win prizes.

Where: Starting point outside the LCTO office (Place Guillaume)

Cost: 60 EUR for a team of 4 people, plus admin charge

Butschebuerger Buergfest – Medieval Festival

Travel back in time with this Medieval Festival. With nearly 90 vendors and artisans, many musicians and acrobats, fire-eaters and shows this is the largest medieval festival in the Greater Region!

When: September 7th from 11am-Midnight; September 8th from 10am-7pm

Cost: 8 EUR – adults; 6 EUR – if wearing medieval costume and kids 12+; free- kids under 12 years

Wine and Grape Festival

Festival with concerts and entertainment for young and old!

Cost: Advance ticket sales 8 EUR • Ticket Week-end 10 EUR; the ticket is valid the whole weekend.

Pick Your Own Apples

Pick your own apples (don’t forget to take your own bags)! And at home why don’t you prepare those delicious Apple Rose tarts!

Vianden Castle Paper Days

This weekend Vianden Castle is all about paper. The popular material is the focus of numerous demonstrations. In addition to selling valuable and antique books, a varied program awaits visitors. Younger visitors can immerse themselves in the world of paper in various workshops.

Quetschefest/ Plum Festival

Traditional food event with an array of plum products!

The Schueberfouer is the biggest funfair in Luxembourg and the Greater Region. Come and experience around 200 attractions, amongst which 25 rides, over 12 kiddy rides, entertainment games, a dozen restaurants, numerous snacks and take-outs, etc. from over 6 different nations. Summer Sports Activities at the Kinnekswiss and Trampolines at Merl Park

Free sports activities (football, volleyball, badminton, pétanque, frisbee, and many more) offered by Lux city at Kinnekswiss. Equipment and instructors are available on site. Don’t forget about the free trampolines in Merl park for your kids either!

Summer Activities at Villa Vauban

In the upcoming summer months, come and take part in the various activities available at Villa Vauban’s park. Whether on your own, as a couple or with family and friends, come and spend a relaxing time in a unique setting. Check the full program on the website – there a number of activities for the kids!

Open Days Train 1900

This event is for all lovers of historic trains and it takes place in Fond-de-Gras, the Mecca of industrial and railway heritage in Luxembourg. For its traditional open day, Train 1900 three steam locomotives will travel between Pétange Fond-de-Gras and Rodange. The first train, diesel train, will depart at 11.00am from Pier TRAIN 1900 Pétange. There will be demonstrations of forge work and free guided tours.
