On September 24, 25, and 26, the annual Spring of the Poets Festival is taking place in three different locations throughout Luxembourg. The event will feature an assortment of poetry from nine guest authors and the winners of Luxembourg’s 2021 Young Poets Spring competition. All of the poetry featured in the festival revolves around this year’s theme of “desire”. Here’s a rundown of the events:
Friday 09/24 – Opening at 7pm. The first night will feature five poets and the winners of the Young Poets Competition. It will be held at CELO in Hesperange, with a reception prior to the show beginning at 6:30pm. Reservations are free, but a CovidCheck certificate is required. Saturday 09/25 – The second night of events take place at Neimenster Abbey with an opening reception at 6:30pm. If you just want to enjoy the poetry, things will get rolling at 7pm. The poets from the previous night along with an additional four poets will perform. There will be two sessions from 7pm–8pm and 9pm–10pm, with a meal break inbetween. The meal costs €17.50 and includes two cold plates of your choice. To make a reservation and select your meal choices, email email@example.com. CovidCheck is required for this night as well.
Sunday 09/26 – Sunday will feature a morning of poetry at the Simoncini gallery, which will be exclusively livestreamed on the Printemps des Poetes Facebook page starting at 11am.
