Carnival (2 February – 22 March 2020)

Carnival or Fuesend is celebrated big time in Luxembourg. It’s time to dress up, party and have candy. It starts on Candlemas day and goes on until Bretzelsonndeg (Pretzel Sunday), the 4th Sunday of Lent (March 22nd 2020). During that period a lot of Carnival events and parades takes place – so watch out this space for all the details!


Charity Art Festival

The one-day event will feature live music, dance, craft activities, various workshops for adults and kids, a book sale, and food and drink. For further information and the full programme please click here.

Winter visit at the National Iron Mining Museum

All visitors are handed a helmet and board the mine train; the journey takes about 20 minutes. Inside the mine, the tour continues on foot through the tunnels as the guide explains the different mining techniques and the daily life of the mine workers from 1870 to 1992. The tour exits the mine by train through the Walert tunnel. The visit inside the mine lasts about 1h 30 min. (total 2 hours). It is important to wear appropriate warm clothing. and flat-heeled shoes. Dogs are not allowed.
