The theaters, cultural centers, companies and artists of Luxembourg will be back in the city center to inform you about this coming season. In a friendly atmosphere, meet those who live on the stage or behind the scenes of the performing arts. Artists and teams of cultural venues will listen to you, and will surely find something to interest you – alone, with two or with the family … Come and discover new programming and let yourself be carried away by your curiosity.

Take Care – BE Fair – Gallerie Cactus, Belle Etoile (Registration at 31 30 40 for the chocolate workshop required)

This year, at the Belle Etoile, back to school will be under the sign of equity! Fairtrade Lëtzebuerg invites you to discover the different facets of fair trade and the importance of small actions that can be done “here” – on a daily basis – to help “there”. On this occasion, Cactus, a long-time partner of Fairtrade Lëtzebuerg, will introduce you to part of its range of fair trade products. From bananas to cosmetics, taste them and test them before adopting them. There will be a the Giant Goose Game in which kids will discover the specificities of cocoa and the Wheel of Luck will be able to test their knowledge of Fair Trade. And On Saturday there will be a chocolate workshop for the kids (14, 15 and 16h).

Ettelbrooklyn Street Festival

Live music, acrobatic performances and art will fill the streets of Ettelbruck. And there will be food trucks!

Open House at the Wildlife Care

Discover the Dudelange Wildlife Care Center that was founded in 1988 to treat wounded wildlife.

Nuit de la Culture 2019

A river that runs under the city, dozens of artists wandering through the streets, unknown buildings to discover, a colorful parade followed by a show in the clouds of a park and a sleepless night to listen to the sound some water! All of that in the new edition of the Night dedicated to Culture designed for families and night owls. Choose your stations, book your seats (swimming pool, Scandinavian baths, songs to offer and guided tours), take your time and (re)discover your city over water. Castle Games Useldeng (in EN, LU, DE, FR)

The fire brigade from the Useldenge municipality organized the second edition of the legendary Castle-Games (games without limits in the shadow of the Useldange castle). You only need 5 people for a team to participate. There will be food trucks and entertainment for the kids throughout the day.

Summer Activities at Villa Vauban

Come and take part in the various activities on offer in Villa Vauban’s park. Whether on your own, as a couple or with family and friends, come and spend a relaxing time in a unique setting. Check out the full program on the website – there are a number of activities for the kids!

Family Fest

Family fest has lots of workshops and activities for the kids! Head over and discover all that the National Museum of Natural History has to offer your kids.

Kids Mandarin Fun Session (age 3-6) (Advanced booking required, in EN)

Interested in immersing your little one in Mandarin Chinese in a fun and interactive environment? These Mandarin fun sessions are full of storytelling, fun interactive game activities, and art! All with the aim of introducing the beautiful language to kids within an encouraging and happy environment. (GROUP SIZE: Maximum 5 kids)

Sheep’s Day

Local and regional producers, companies and artisans will display a full range of products made from meat, sheep’s wool and sheep’s milk. Sheep farmers will show different breeds of sheep and will explain the breeder profession. Specialists will demonstrate the different types of wool and the stages of their processing. Locally produced sheep meat dishes will be cooked on site, and the positive impact of sheep grazing on biodiversity and landscapes will be highlighted.

Sigfried and the origins of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (inDe,Lux, Registration required)

Discover the history of the City of Luxembourg from its origin to the 18th century! During this guided tour, you will have the honor of being welcomed by the legendary Sigfried, the first Count of Luxembourg. To introduce you the history and legends of “Lucilinburhuc”, he will show you, among other things, historical documents and models and objects from the museum’s collection. Discover the history of Luxembourg in the company of Sigfried, a true medieval lord!

Stories by Homer about Odysseus and the Trojans (in Lux, Booking required)

Come and discover the Vichten mosaic. Set up with tiny stones, it shows the eight muses and Homer, who was an important writer of Greek antiquity. Be inspired by the stories of Homer, Ulysses and his adventures with the Trojan horse.
