Ice scream, you scream, we all dream of ice cream!! Summer is here, so why not cool off with a delicious scoop or two of the city’s best ice cream? Here are CSL’s top picks.
Anna & Paul Glacerie and Chocolaterie
This delicious ice cream shop in Bertrange is a must try! The shop’s design is modern and welcoming, the staff is super friendly (and don’t mind giving you a try of any of their 20 exotic flavours before making your final decision) AND you can watch the chef create his masterpieces through a giant glass window. You will see only the freshest ingredients being poured into his creations.
- Good for: unique flavours made from the freshest of ingredients! We LOVE the spritz ice cream.

Bonomeria – Gelateria Artigianale
This Italian ice cream parlour in Belair is another top pick at CSL. The gelato here is divine. Besides the wide variety of flavours, you can find various ice cream treats to take home (we often take these treats to parties and they’re a big hit). If you decide to replace a meal with ice cream one day, we suggest the gelato stuffed brioche. If you have kids, another plus is the striking distance of the fabulous Castle Parc.
- Good for: making you think you’ve briefly landed in Italy.
Where: 4 Rue Wurth-Paquet, Belair (map)
Opening hours: Monday to Sunday 12:00 to 20:00

LuxFine
You’ll find LuxFine in the Opkorn mall in Differdange. We happened upon this place after doing a bit of shopping at Auchan and were highly impressed. The staff was so friendly and the ice cream was out of this world. If you’re in the area, we definitely suggest giving this place a try!
- Good for: a pre- or post-shopping treat!

Infact, SmooJo is so popular they have just recently opened a second location (in Esch). SmooJo also offers free wifi.

Oberweis
Oh Oberweis! How we love you. So classy, so delicious, so Luxembourgish. As with their coffees, pastries and cakes, their ice cream does not disappoint. Whilst there are 5 Oberweis cafes around Luxembourg selling ice cream (Cloche d’Or, Lux Ville, City Concorde, Kirchberg and Gare), we suggest you treat yourself and head for their beautiful flagship cafe in the city centre.

Hi, thank you for the tips where to get good ice cream in the city. In stark contrast to all other enthusiastic descriptions of ice cream parlors, you barely mention the location of Bargello ice cream and the fact that people can find it also boxed across various super markets. Any specific reason for that?
No specific reason for not going into greater detail but we are definitely fans. We listed some supermarkets where you can pick it up, but we will see if we missed some. Fabulous tip!
