The 15th British & Irish Film Festival Luxembourg Opens Today

SPRING EDITION

Are you a film fan? Then the 15th British & Irish Film Festival Luxembourg (BIFFL) might be perfect for you!

This unique festival is a great opportunity for independent film lovers to see more content coming from the United Kingdom.

This year the festival will be at Ciné Utopia from Febuary 26th to the 23rd of March, with the core dates from March 18th – 23rd. 

For the spring edition of the festival, enjoy 13 different feature-length films and excerpts from a total of 14 short films. Even more exciting, the night of short films will conclude the festival’s Young Filmmakers Competition and the top three short films will be shown in full.

Some of the films being screened include the opening screening of Verdigris, the film adaption of the novel That They May Face the Rising Sun, and a special scream-along screening of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The festival has a large array of films scheduled, with something for everyone and Q&As after certain films!

BIFFL will also have special guests for certain screenings. Some of these include Geraldine McAlinden and Maya O’Shea, two of the actors in Verdigris, and Bernard Michaux the producer of The Runway. 

Another exciting opportunity for the audience is the chance to win Luxair flight vouchers at the special screening of The Runaway to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the inaugural direct Luxair flight between Luxembourg and Dublin.
