English-speaking Comedy, French-style

by City Savvy Luxembourg

Award-winning French comic Marcel Lucont takes centre stage for the Luxembourg English Comedy Showcase on Saturday 25 February, at Marionette, 15 Rue de Strasbourg (map). Win tickets here!

Well known on the British comedy circuit for his “French” approach to comedy as seen on Russell Howard’s Good News and at the Edinburgh Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festival, you can catch a glimpse of Marcel’s routine here.

Marcel will be joined on stage by stand up Ria Lina (USA/UK), winner of the EMMA Award for Best Comedienne, who entertains with her dry wit and bawdy ukulele songs.

You’ll also have a chance to check out the local comic talents of Luxembourg, this time with Alex Monteiro from Portugal, and Romanians Corina Dumitrescu and Oana Marangoci.

Again there will be two show times:

19.00 for more dinner and show tables

21.15 for the bigger crowds

Tickets cost 20 Euro per ticket (reserve at: luxpromo2017@internationalcomedians.com) or you can buy a special two-person ticket for 37 Euro here. Entry on the door is 25 Euros, but the shows usually sells out so be sure to reserve your ticket.

Comedy for your Calendar

There will also be a comedy workshop for would-be stand-ups on Sunday 26 February hosted by Ria, Marcel and Joe Eagan. For details visit https://www.facebook.com/events/354516554935721/

Mark your calendars for future shows on 23 March, 29 April, 18 May and 2-3 June for the mini summer comedy festival.

You can also catch open mic shows at Crossfire and Scott’s in Luxembourg City. More information here.
