Blind Date: Antonio and Kalia

by City Savvy Luxembourg

Once again, City Savvy takes a stab at playing cupid!

In our second attempt at matchmaking, we set up Kalia and Antonio. Beim Siggy wined and dined them in the hopes that the end result would be love, but did the arrows fall short? You decide.

What were you hoping for?

I’ve never been on a blind date, so I was interested by the perspective of a new experience and was hoping it would be fun.

What were your impressions?

He is tall and good looking, seems to be a nice person.

What did you talk about?

We talked a lot about work and our life in Luxembourg.  We talked about sports and our various travels.

Were there any awkward moments?

Fortunately not, I was afraid there would be some awkward silences, but we had a lot to discuss.

Best thing about your blind date?

The atmosphere in the restaurant was very relaxed, and Antonio was very easy to talk to.

Would you introduce him to your friends?

I would have liked to introduce him to some of my girlfriends, I was thinking that at least one of them could be a good match for him.

Describe Antonio in three words.

Intelligent, kind, has great values

What do you think he made of you?

It is really hard to say. I think he might have come with more expectations, I felt that he was really looking forward to starting a new relationship. However I felt like having a conversation with a colleague or a business partner, there was no seduction involved.

After dinner at Beim Siggy, did you go on somewhere?

I had to meet some friends in town so I offered for him to join me afterwards, however he didn’t make it in the end.

And… did you kiss?

Marks out of 10?

Would you meet again?

I don’t think so

What were you hoping for?

I didn’t have any special expectations. I was just hoping to meet a mentally and culturally interesting person.

What were your impressions?

Really cute girl who looks good.

What did you talk about?

We talked a bit about everything, starting from our origins and spanning to our professional and social lives…

Were there any awkward moments?

Absolutely not. Kalia is a very polite girl and it was easy to talk about every topic.

Best thing about your blind date?

Surely when we discussed about our common passion for travel. I understood that Kalia is planning a trip to Tanzania and we discussed a lot about this amazing experience.

Would you introduce her to your friends?

Certainly in the future, I would like to introduce her to my friends.

Describe Kalia in three words.

I think one word is enough. SMART

What do you think she made of you?

I’m not sure. As I mentioned, I had a very pleasant impression of her, and it would be nice to have further opportunities to meet her in a different context as well.

After dinner at Beim Siggy, did you go on somewhere?

No. We both already had after-dinner commitments.

And… did you kiss?

No. I’m a gentleman. I never kiss a girl at the first meeting.

Marks out of 10?

Didn’t have enough time to attribute any mark, she is in any case in the highest range of marks from several points of view.

Would you meet again?

Maybe, who knows. The dinner was stopped quickly because we both had other plans afterwards. We didn’t exchange numbers so we will see if we bump into each other again.
