Luxembourg’s 12th Annual Film Festival

From March 3rd – 13th, over 120 new films will be played in theaters around Luxembourg City at Cine Utopia, Kinepolis Kirchberg, and the Cinémathèque de la Ville de Luxembourg. Additionally, a variety of events, free workshops, concerts, and exhibitions will be hosted in the city’s many cultural centers. The festival’s 11 day schedule is filled with international contemporary fiction and documentary films, Luxembourgish productions and young audience films. Prestigious guests from Elia Suleiman to Terri Gilliam will lead discussions, masterclasses, and workshops.

The Film Festival begins on the 3rd, showing a selection of young audience films and the “Official Competition” starring Antonio Banderas and Penelope Cruz. Head over to Neimenster to check out the Virtual Reality Pavillion or Casino Luxembourg for young audience workshops. The following days include documentaries that range from topics including a cow’s daily life, Queen Elizabeth, and Poland in the 1970’s. From psychological films to action and animation, the festival has something for every viewer.
