France

Walygator Park

Walygator Park features numerous rides and attractions, including roller coasters, water rides, family-friendly rides, and live shows. One of the park’s most notable roller coasters is “Monster,” a steel roller coaster that reaches speeds of up to 92 kilometers per hour (57 mph) and features several inversions. Another popular roller coaster is “Anaconda,” a looping coaster that provides thrilling twists and turns.

In addition to roller coasters, the park offers various water-based attractions, such as “Wild River,” a river rapid ride, and “Dino Raft,” a family-friendly raft ride! These rides provide refreshing and exciting experiences, especially during the summer months.

Walygator Park also has a dedicated area for younger visitors, which offers age-appropriate rides and attractions suitable for children: the safari trophy, the Waly Boat, the Tea Cup, the Peter Pan, the Dino Bike or the Waly Express are a few examples. The area also includes a carousel, a mini roller coaster, and other fun activities.

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy live shows, including performances by acrobats, dancers, and other entertainers. Germany

Holiday Park – Hassloch/Pfalz

Holiday Park covers an area of approximately 40 hectares and offers a wide variety of attractions and entertainment options. The park features over 40 rides and attractions, including roller coasters, water rides, family-friendly rides, and live shows.

One of the most notable attractions at Holiday Park is the roller coaster “Expedition GeForce.” This steel roller coaster is consistently ranked among the top roller coasters in Europe and provides an exhilarating experience with speeds reaching up to 120 kilometers per hour (75 mph) and heights of 53 meters (174 feet). It features a combination of steep drops, high-speed turns, and intense airtime moments.

If you aren’t a thrill seeker, don’t worry! Holiday Park provides rides that are both child and family-friendly. There is a multitude of water rides – including toboggans, tubes, and more. They also have low-key rollercoasters for those who are intimidated by “Expedition GeForce.” Merry-go-rounds, slides, and ball pits are some safe and fun options for those with young kids.

Belgium

Walibi Belgium

Walibi Belgium, formerly known as Walibi Wavre, is a theme park located in Wavre, Belgium. It is one of the most popular amusement parks in the country and has been entertaining visitors since its opening in 1975. The park is situated approximately 30 kilometers (19 miles) southeast of Brussels, making it easily accessible for both local and international visitors.

One of the park’s highlights is the “Pulsar” roller coaster, which is the first ever PowerSplash model by German manufacturer Mack Rides. It offers a thrilling and immersive experience, with riders sitting on motorbike-shaped trains that reach speeds of up to 101 kilometers per hour (62 mph) and feature water-based elements. Another popular roller coaster at Walibi Belgium is “Vampire,” an inverted roller coaster that takes riders on an exhilarating journey through twists, turns, and inversions. It provides a unique sensation as riders’ legs dangle freely beneath them.

For younger visitors, the park has several themed areas which offer age-appropriate rides, interactive play areas, and live entertainment. These sections provide a safe and enjoyable environment for children to have fun. There are attractions like the dancing octopus, a carousel, a rollercoaster, a little train, cars, a submarine, and many more.

The Netherlands

Toverland – Sevenum

Toverland is a theme park located in Sevenum, in the southern part of the Netherlands. It is situated approximately 80 kilometers (50 miles) southeast of Amsterdam. Toverland opened its doors in 2001 and has since become a popular destination for families and thrill-seekers alike.

One of the park’s main attractions is the roller coaster “FÄ“nix.” This wing coaster offers a thrilling experience as riders are suspended on either side of the track, creating a sensation of flying. With multiple inversions and high speeds, FÄ“nix provides an exciting ride for coaster enthusiasts. Toverland also offers water-based attractions, such as the “Djengu River” and the “Expedition Zork.”

Throughout the day, Toverland presents various live shows, including acrobatic performances, magic shows, and theatrical productions. They are open from 10am-6pm in the summer months, but otherwise have rather inconsistent opening hours. Be sure to check here to see when they open! The Big Three

Europa-Park – Rust

Europa-Park is a renowned theme park located in Rust, Germany. It is one of the largest and most popular theme parks in Europe, attracting millions of visitors each year. Europa-Park opened its doors in 1975 and has since expanded to become a vast entertainment complex covering an area of around 95 hectares.

Europa-Park is themed around the different countries of Europe, with each area representing a specific country and showcasing its unique culture, architecture, and attractions. The park’s themed areas include Germany, France, Italy, England, Russia, and many more. With over 100 attractions in total, each area features its own architecture and gastronomy, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the diverse cultures of Europe. From the canals of Venice to the romantic castles of Germany, Europa-Park offers a unique and immersive experience.

During the summer season, Europa-Park is open daily from 9am until at least 6pm. These hours vary slightly over the other seasons, but the park is open all year around! This park is one of the more expensive options with prices ranging from €57,50 for adults to €49,00 for children. We definitely think its worth a visit regardless!

Phantasialand – Bruhl

Phantasialand, also located in Germany, is another of of Europe’s most visited theme parks. This park is celebrated for its meticulous attention to detail and immersive theming, creating a world of wonder for guests of all ages. There are six such areas: Asia, Africa, Fantasy, Berlin, Mexico, and Mystery. These thematic realms invite guests to explore diverse cultures and stories, transporting them to different times and places.

At Phantasialand, daredevil adventurers can embark on thrilling roller coasters that leave hearts pounding and adrenaline rushing. Taron, a multi-launch coaster, propels riders through high-speed launches, exhilarating twists, and turns. Black Mamba, an inverted coaster, takes brave souls on a gripping journey of loops and twists that test their mettle.

For families with young children, Phantasialand offers an array of attractions suitable for all ages. Chiapas – Die Wasserbahn is an immersive water adventure that transports riders through lush landscapes and exhilarating drops. Meanwhile, Maus au Chocolat invites guests to embark on a 4D dark ride, engaging in a playful competition as they aim at targets to earn points.

There are no tickets sold on sight, so be sure to purchase yours online ahead-of-time! Children aged 4-11 cost €44.00 – €51.00 and adults from age 12 cost €54.00 – €61.00. Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris opened its doors to the public on April 12, 1992. It is the second Disney theme park resort to open outside the United States, following the success of Tokyo Disneyland. The resort encompasses two main theme parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. Additionally, it features several themed hotels, entertainment venues, shopping centers, and a golf course.

Disneyland Park: This park is divided into five themed lands – Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Fantasyland, Frontierland, and Discoveryland. Each land offers a unique atmosphere and attractions inspired by Disney movies and stories. Visitors can explore iconic attractions like Sleeping Beauty Castle, Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, and It’s a Small World.

Walt Disney Studios Park: This park is dedicated to the world of cinema, offering attractions and shows that provide a behind-the-scenes look at movie production. It is divided into four studio lots – Front Lot, Production Courtyard, Toon Studio, and Backlot. Some of the popular attractions include Ratatouille: The Adventure, Crush’s Coaster, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and Toy Story Playland.

They have multiple different ticketing options, the first of which is the most popular! You can buy a ticket from anywhere between 1-4 days and the more days you buy, the cheaper it gets! The one day ticket for both parks is €81.00, however for one park it is only €56.00.
