Picks of the Week- Paname & Strogoff

Paname

Paname is located near Gare Central, and we recommend this location as a go-to drink spot. The first time we visited Paname, we were greeted by the lovely staff and the smell of delicious cocktails and appetizers at the door. We may be impartial, but we recommend getting one of their specialty gin cocktails such as the Sparkling Summer or the Supa Saya Lux gin and tonic drink, to look at their full drink menu, click here. Paname is not only a bar, if you are in the mood for appetizers, or even brunch, there are great choices. You can find the food menu here. Le “Bad Ass Truffle Grilled Cheese Sandwich” is a delicious guilty pleasure. We also highly recommend their Los Rancheros Eggs.

If you catch this spot at the right time, you’ll find that it is the afterwork spot for a lot of younger professionals who live and commute to the city. We actually got caught up in teh afterwork crowd one night and had an absolutely wonderful experience.

Beyond the amazing cocktails, Paname offers Wi-Fi and a lovely terrace that can be used to catch up on work or to people watch as the sun starts shining more. From a nice afternoon coffee, to weekend drinks or brunch. Paname offers something for everyone every day.

Strogoff

Strogoff is located almost right next to Paname, making it the perfect dinner spot after some Paname cocktails. This Italian/European restaurant has a picturesque view of Avenue de le Liberté and the surrounding area, making it a good location for a date or business dinner. The one of a kind indoor lighting, stylish decor, and ambiance sets the mood for an amazing dining experience and can make for some pretty cool Instagram pictures! 

Strogoff’s menu consists of a wide variety of foods such as, fish, aged steaks, risotto, pizza, pasta, charcuterie plates, and a decent sized dessert menu, if you still have room for any! For a full look into their menu, click here.  

Our first experience at Strogoff was one we will never forget. We stumbled upon the restaurant and immediately in love with the location, layout, style, food, and service of the establishment. We have been back a few times since then, and every time it keeps on getting better! 

Our recommendations are the Fritto Misto Strogoff, the Goaty & Tasty salad, the Gnocchi de la Mamma, and the Risotto aux Scampis. If you are worried about food allergies or dietary restrictions, you will be happy to know there are several gluten-free and vegetarian options at Strogoff!
