Tell us about your brand.
eCommense by Sarra Maatallah is an Amazon & Marketplace Consultancy that specializes in
managing brands on Amazon globally. We offer a range of services, including strategy
consulting, PPC advertising, and SEO & content management to enhance our clients’
presence on the platform.

What’s your background? Have you always had an interest in entrepreneurship?
My background is rooted in a master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Development of
Innovative Activities, a foundation that has fueled my longstanding passion for creating
projects that help, support, and empower others.

With a customer-centric mindset, my journey into entrepreneurship began to take shape. I
accumulated valuable experience in previous roles, where I seamlessly integrated project
management skills with a deep understanding of e-commerce dynamics.

This unique blend of academic knowledge and hands-on experience allowed me to navigate
challenges with diverse businesses on Amazon Marketplace. Witnessing the impact of
personalized strategies on these businesses sparked the idea for eCommense by Sarra
Maatallah. The concept emerged organically, driven by several years of consulting and
advising experience. I was determined to lend my expertise to serve both local and
international brands on e-commerce platforms, with a specific focus on Amazon. The goal
was clear: to provide tailor-made solutions that propel brands toward success in the ever-evolving landscape of online commerce.

How did you decide to take your passion and turn it into a business?
Recognizing the need for personalized strategies in the e-commerce industry, I saw an
opportunity to leverage my expertise and provide tailored solutions for local and international brands on e-commerce platforms, particularly on Amazon. The natural progression towards offering my consulting services was driven by a desire to offer strategic support and empower brands in the dynamic world of online commerce.

What inspires you?
I find inspiration in the success of our clients on a global scale, particularly when receiving
positive feedback and witnessing tangible results. Also, the ever-evolving challenges of e-
commerce constantly drives us to innovate and adapt.

What advice would you give to another woman wanting to start her own brand?
My advice to aspiring women entrepreneurs is to embrace their unique perspectives and
strengths. Confidence, resilience, and a willingness to learn are crucial. Surround yourself
with a supportive network, seek mentorship, and don’t be afraid to take calculated risks.

Most importantly, trust your instincts and stay true to your vision. Every challenge is an
opportunity for growth.

How did you get into e-commerce?
My entry into e-commerce began through my different roles in reputable Amazon services-
provider agencies. Working closely with diverse businesses, I navigated the intricacies of e-
commerce platforms, developing a profound understanding of the industry. This hands-on
experience laid the foundation of a unique offering, where I now channel my expertise to
empower brands on a global scale.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?
The most rewarding aspect of my role is witnessing the tangible impact our strategies have
on our clients’ success. Whether it’s increased sales, expanded market presence, or
improved brand visibility, contributing to our client’s growth is immensely fulfilling. Knowing that our efforts directly contribute to their achievements is what makes every challenge worthwhile.
