With summer vacation quickly approaching, you may find yourself looking for a way to keep the kids busy, active, and outside… Summer camps are a great way to do that! Listed below are a few that you may want to check out:

Berlitz Language Camps

These summer camps are designed to help children of all ages learn languages, including French, English, and German! Some are week-long sleep-away camps and others are just for the day. They aim to help children develop their language skills while also keeping them engaged with fun activities. These camps are offered for kids ages 7-17 and located across Luxembourg (or internationally if your kids are up for an adventure)!

Little Lions Luxembourg

This camp is a great way to keep your kids active, as they’ll get to play sports like squash and rugby. Sessions run for one week and are offered from July 3rd through September 1st! This camp is for children ages 3-12, and don’t forget to pack a lunch and snack for your child as they are not provided.

SdS Sport-Wochen

This camp has been going on every summer for more than 40 years! There are two different versions—a “Mini Sport-Wochen” for children ages 11-12 and a “Sport-Wochen” for children ages 13-17. Sessions can last anywhere from 4 to 7 days, some of which include overnight stays. These camps are held across July, August and the beginning of September, and while some are held in Luxembourg, others are held abroad! Children can participate in rock climbing, mountain biking, horseback riding, and even an outdoor ropes course!

Bricks4Kidz

Does your child love playing with LEGOs? Are they interested in robotics? This may be their perfect camp! Children will use LEGOs to learn about a lot of different STEM concepts, such as how machines and robots operate. They’ll also be able to flex their creative muscles and build whatever their hearts desire! This camp is open for ages 4-13 and offers day-long or half-day activities.

Soccer Soccer Camp

Calling all football players, this one’s for you! Here, kids can learn skills like goalkeeping and dribbling while playing the different games of soccer. This is a great way to get some energy out while also learning teamwork and sportsmanship! The camp is for children ages 4-17 and there are specialized camps, including a goalkeeper program, for those interested in certain aspects of the game.

The Little Gym Camps

Offered in English and French, this camp combines physical activity with arts and crafts! It’s located in Bertrange and runs from July 17th through September 1st. The session for ages 3-8 focuses on building teamwork and problem-solving skills. Children will need to work together to complete a themed quest every day! The session for ages 6-12 focuses on basic gymnastics, where children will learn things like cartwheels, backbends, and even some flips!

École de Théâtre

This five-day camp is perfect for children with a strong interest in theater! It’s composed of workshops offered in French, English, and Luxembourgish and is meant for children ages 8-15. They’ll learn about playing characters, reading scripts, and improvising, and they’ll get some great behind-the-scenes experience of putting on shows! The teachers are all Luxembourgish or French actors and actresses.

Scouting

If you’d like your child to gain valuable life skills, stay active and outdoors, develop great habits, and make new friends, then we’d recommend you check out some scouting groups! It may be a bit late to sign up for this summer, but many groups offer day-long activities that are open to anyone, and you can always get your kids ready for next year! The Robert Schuman Unit is a French-speaking troop, and the Telstar Unit is an English-speaking troop. Happy scouting!

Aller Badminton Club Summer Camp

Aller Sports is running a badminton camp for kids ages 7 and up! The camp is held in Kockelscheuer, and sessions are held every week from July 10th through August 25th! It’s divided into two groups: beginners and regulars for children aged 7+. Beginners’ sessions are from 10 AM until 12 PM, and they’ll learn the game’s rules, how to move, how to hold and swing the racket, and ultimately how to play! Regulars’ sessions are from 1 PM until 3 PM, and they’re expected to have some prior experience. In this session, members will learn more advanced techniques and tricks!
