So firstly, tell us about Thrive Studio!

As a new pilates & functional fitness studio in Luxembourg, our mantra is “Mindful Movement” and we integrate this philosophy into all our classes. Taking time out of our busy lives and schedules to just breathe and connect our movement with the breath. All of our classes are centred around technique, form and function. Our team of highly qualified and inspirational teachers want you to have fun, express yourself, realise your needs and expand your awareness, so that you can all be at your healthiest and happiest.

As a team we are down to earth, practical and believe that exercise is to be enjoyed. It is not just a passing phase but a lifestyle choice which is integral to our happiness and living life to its fullest – doing things that make us feel good so we can Thrive.

What inspired you to start Thrive Studio?

Both Clare and I have been running our own successful businesses for over ten years: HIITme.eu and www.claremariepilates.com while sharing studio space in Hamm and now in Hesperange. We grew organically and evolved into a strong team so decided to take the leap and merge our concepts together offices to create THRIVE.

What is the most rewarding part of owning your own business?

Being your own boss takes confidence and resilience. We are definitely a team of strong women who have worked really hard for years to get to where we are today. Being able to support our clients on their wellness journeys and knowing that you have made a difference to your clients wellbeing, both physically and mentally is definitely the most rewarding part of our work.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned as a business owner?

Value your time and experience that you have and let that reflect in the prices you charge. In other words don’t underestimate your worth. Do not give your services for free as this devalues what you have to offer.

What advice can you give other women wanting to start their own business?

Be brave in your choices and stay authentic, true to yourself in the process. Let go of your ego as this will never serve you. Be humble, always try your best and let go of the things that don’t work for you, your clients or your business. Things will flow if you’re on the right path. But ultimately just go for it!
